This video compares the cut scenes in The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) and The Last of Us Part 1 (PS5).
Both games are captured on the PS5 Pro console. The Last of Us Part 1 is running at Pro mode, which targets 60 FPS at 1440p (upscale to 4K with PSSR enabled). The Last of Us Remastered is running at Screen Resolution mode, which is 60 FPS at 1800p.
As shown in some of the scenes, Naughty Dog made some major changes to the background environment, sometimes resulting in more details while other times leading to less.
With that said, the character models look better overall in the PS5 remake. One possible exception is Maria, Tommy’s Wife, whose character model changed completely in the remake.
Asides from graphics, Naught Dog made no changes to the cut scenes, which made side-by-side comparisons easy.
