I recently got a chance to play Ereban: Shadow Legacy for around the first hour of the game, thanks to a review copy provided by Selecta Play.
You can find my gameplay video below:
You can also read my first impressions on Ereban below:
Pros:
- Intriguing story.
- Cool Shadow powers.
- Expansive levels.
Cons:
- Auto-saving stutters.
Overall:
Ereban: Shadow Legacy is a stealth platformer where you play as Ayana, who is the last of her race. She has the innate ability to Shadow Merge, allowing her to disappear into shaded areas.
Along with being able to hide from the robotic enemies, she can also use her ability to get to hard to reach places.
Ereban offers a cool mix of stealth and platforming to create a fun and thrilling adventure. The expansive levels allow you to take different routes and experiment with your abilities. Even if you die a lot, the checkpoint system is pretty generous.
The story so far is also very intriguing, as Ayana learns about what truly happened to her people.
The only downside is the stutters. The game with hitch every time if auto saves. This can be distracting on an otherwise smooth-running game on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
If you are a fan of stealth, platforming, or both, then you should definitely give Ereban: Shadow Legacy a shot.
