Deck of Haunts on PS5 Pro: First Impressions

I recently got a chance to play around an hour of Deck of Haunts on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by DANGEN Entertainment.

You can find my gameplay video below:

You can also read about my first impressions of Deck of Haunts below:

Pros:

  • Unique mix of deck builder with Tecmo’s Deception.
  • Fun variety of haunted rooms and traps.

Cons:

  • None.

Overall:

Deck of Haunts is a mix of deck builder with the Tecmo’s Deception.

At night, your goal is to kill or cause insanity to humans who visit your haunted mansion. If they manage to get into the core of the mansion, then you will get damaged. Once your HP reaches zero, you will have to start all over from the beginning although you do get some permanent upgrades to your card deck if you level up. u will get damaged. Getti

If you managed to make it through the night, then you are able to add more rooms and trap rooms to your mansion at daytime. You are able to build normal rooms, which helps in keeping the human invader busy so that they don’t head straight into the core, through a grid system.

You can also turn normal rooms into special rooms that provide numerous benefits, such as summoning monsters that will roam around the mansion.

In order to beat the game, you need to survive all 28 nights. Once to complete it the first time, there is also a harder Nightmare difficulty available.

Overall, Deck of Haunts is an addicting and unique card builder where your goal is to kill or cause insanity to humans who trespass your haunted mansion. If you are looking for a fun twist to the deck building genre, then make sure to check out this game.
