I recently completed CyberBlocker Complete Edition on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by eastasiasoft.
You can find my full video playthrough (which shows off the two modes in addition to both difficulty options), as well as my written review of the game, below:
Pros:
- Creative mix between Arkanoid and shoot ‘em up genre.
- Excellent soundtrack.
- Unlimited continues.
- Easy trophies.
Cons:
- Hard to keep track of multiple objects.
Overall:
CyberBlocker Complete Edition mixes the classic Arkanoid and shoot ‘em up genre to create a totally unique experience.
Players control a ship that also acts as a paddle. Furthermore, the ship can also be detached to form two separate pieces. You can then be able to control the top part vertically, and both pieces horizontally.
As you can probably tell, the action can get very hectic since you need to keep track of your ship’s position, where the ball is bouncing, as well as the enemies. With that said, once you get used to its mechanics, the game can be hard to put down.
The good news is that CyberBlocker is very forgiving since you have unlimited continues in the standard mode to let you experience the story.
Not to mention that the platinum trophy is easily attainable. You only have to beat the standard mode once in any difficulty. Afterwards, you can just experience the game in order to grind out the rest. It took me just an hour for the platinum.
If you are a fan of Arkanoid and/or shoot ‘em ups, then you should definitely check out CyberBlocker Complete Edition.
