I recently got a chance to play through Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Skyhook Games.
You can find my gameplay video, along with my first impressions, below:
Pros:
- Relaxing and satisfying lawn care simulation.
- Real world equipment.
- ProView will reveal any missed spots.
Cons:
- Distracting shimmering.
Overall:
In Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, you get to run your very one lawn care company. In addition to mowing grass, you will also be blowing leaves away, cutting off weeds, and more.
From the simulation side, you have to buy and repair your equipment. When you start to expand your business, you can eventually hire employees as well. The neat thing is that the game features real-life lawn care product made by Kubota, SCAG and STIGA.
When it comes to doing your job, cutting grass with the lawn mower, removing weeds with your grass trimmers, and blowing away dead leaves all feel relaxing and satisfying.
You only need to clear out a large percentage of the area to get the job done. If you miss a spot, then you can press the touchpad to bring up the ProView to see any areas that weren’t serviced yet.
The only real negative is that the game has a lot of distracting shimmering even though I’m playing it on a PlayStation 5 Pro.
Outside of that, Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is quite a fun and easy going lawn caring game. If you are into relaxing job simulators, then make sure to give this one a shot.
