Alein Breed, Alien Breed: Special Edition 92, Alien Breed II: The Horror Continues and Alien Breed: Tower Assault are all top-down shooters. With the new releases twin stick support has been added so that you can automatically fire by pausing the right stick in the direction you want to aim.
These top-down games can also be played co-operatively with another player locally or via online.
Alien Breed 3D and Alien Breed 3D II: The Killing Grounds are both Doom-like first-person shooters that are single-player only.
All six of these games feature save states, which means you don’t have to worry about using the password systems. You can also change the visual filter and scanline intensity.
To wrap up this neat little section, there is a bonus vault area you can explore to view concept art, behind-the-scenes videos, and more.
Overall, Alien Breed 35th Anniversary Collection is a great retro collection for fans of the series, especially with the inclusion of different versions in addition to the bonus materials.
If you haven’t played these games before, then there are several accessibility features added to make them quite fun to play even by today’s standards.
