I recently got a chance to play around an hour of RIN: The Last Child on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Ultimate Games.
You can watch my gameplay video below:
You can also find my first impressions of RIN: The Last Child below:
Pros:
- Beautiful dark fantasy visuals with smooth animations.
- Unique spell crafting system.
Cons:
- None.
Overall:
RIN: The Last Child is a Metroidvania game with a unique look as its main character features white glowing hair. The animation is quite smooth as well, making combat and most of the platforming feel fluid.
As you explore the levels in the game, you will find spells and aspects. In order to learn new spells after you find them, you need to make sure you have the right number of aspects. Eventually, you have to which spell to unlock first, as well as first spell to upgrade.
The game offers thousands of spell combinations, which means you have plenty of options when it comes to customize the character build to your play style.
Based on what I played so far, RIN: The Last Child is a smooth and fast-paced Metroidvania. If you are into the genre, then make sure to give this game a shot.
