I recently have the opportunity to play through Dark Reflections, thanks to a review copy provided by Stamina Zero.
You can check out my full platinum trophy walkthrough below:
Trophy Tips:
- To make the game much easier combat wise, interact five times with the area between the shelf and locked chest in the cabinet at the beginning of the game to summon the monk and unlock the Munk trophy.
- By talking to the Monk, you can now heal infinitely by pressing the L2 button.
- The game offers a chapter select, so none of the trophies are missable since you can always go back to an earlier point in the story.
- You can also find my mini review for Dark Reflections below:
Pros:
- Unique heavy metal elements.
- Lots of secrets and endings.
- Atmospheric soundtrack.
Cons:
- Stiff combat.
Overall:
Dark Reflection is a point-and-click adventure game where you play as a heavy metal fan. When you take your rebellious nature a little too far, you end opening the portal into a demonic world filled with grotesque monsters and alternate doppelgangers.
As a point-and-click adventure game, Dark Reflection is simple but still very much enjoyable. Some paths are easy to open, while others require some outside-the-box thinking. The game also features a ton of secrets to go along with multiple endings.
Unfortunately, the game falters when it comes to combat. Your character has an extremely short attack range while the hit detection is quite dubious.
If you would like to play Dark Reflection for its point-and-click elements, I suggest enabling the infinite healing cheat to make combat as easy as possible so that you don’t have to deal with its extreme stiffness.
