I recently got a chance to play through Griffin, thanks to a review copy provided by Ratalaika Games. You can find my platinum trophy playthrough below:
Trophy tips:
- You can use cheats before starting the game. I only used Infinite Lives, but you can also use Infinite Health and Infinite Bombers.
- Once you beat the game once, it will loop back to the first stage. Beat the game a second time to unlock all the trophies.
You can read my mini review of Griffin below:
Pros:
- Quality of life features.
- Cheats.
- Easy trophies.
Cons:
- Movement feels a little clunky by today’s standards.
Overall:
Griffin is a vertical shoot-em-up originally released for the Sega Game Gear. In this arcade action game, you move a tank from the bottom to the top of the screen, defeating various enemies along the way.
To make the difficulty easier, there are several quality of life features such as save states and rewind. Not to mention that you can also enable cheats and use the fast forward button if you want to get the platinum trophy as soon as possible.
Although the movement is a little bit clunky by today’s standards, the gameplay is still quite fun if you are into retro arcade shooters.
