Speed Dates Summer Edition on PS5 Pro: First Impressions

I recently got a chance to play an hour of Speed Dates Summer Edition, thanks to a review copy provided by Dolores Entertainment.

You can find my gameplay video below:

You can find my impressions of this game below:

Pros:

  • A lot of unexpected and funny moments.
  • Branching paths add to replayability.

Cons:

  • Can’t skip or fast forward scenes you already saw.

Overall:

Speed Dates Summer Edition is an FMV dating simulator. As you may expect, there are plenty of branching paths as your choices can lead to many scenarios, including outright losing your date.

The best part of this game is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. You will end up in a lot of unexpected and funny moments.

Unfortunately, there is no way to skip or fast forward any scenes you previously watched. This means you have to sit through the same cut scenes over and over again if you want to see the different outcomes.

Speed Dates Summer Edition can be quite fun when you go through all three dates for each of the five girls. However, the unskippable scenes make each replay rather tedious.
