I recently got a chance to play through Cycle Chaser H-5 on a PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy from Ratalaika Games. You can find my gameplay video, which shows how you can get the platinum trophy, below:
Trophy tips:
- To get the boss-related trophies, you need to play in Basic Mode, Advance Mode, or Impact Mode.
- During the training mode, shoot the SLDR_Dummy with a blaster up closer. Once the meter get to 300%, use your Supers to get 1,000 dps to unlock the Everyone Is So Mean To Me :C trophy.
- In Chapter 8, you need to defeat one of the Expansion enemies. These are the blobs that expand when you shoot them.

Pros:
- Fun shoot-em-up with an unique look.
- Being able to destroy bullets with super.

- The HUD can block your view.
Overall:
Cycle Chaser H-5 is a horizontal shoot-em-up that stands out from the rest of the crowd with its unique cell-shaded look.
In terms of gameplay, the game features a meter system. At every 100%, you will gain a shield. More interestingly, you can use the meter to shoot a Super Tatsujin bullet, which destroys a vast majority of enemy bullets while also dealing significant damage.
The only real issue I have with the game is that the HUD blocks the view on the top left corner. That area of the screen is not an ideal place for your ship to be.
Aside from that, Cycle Chaser H-5 is a great and visually interesting take on the shoot-em-up genre. If you are a fan of these games, make sure to check it out.
