Paperly: Platinum Trophy Guide & Mini Review

I recently got a chance to play through the entirety of Paperly, thanks to a review code provided by Upscale Studio. You can find my Platinum Trophy gameplay video below:

Trophy tips:

  • Most trophies are unlocked by beating the story.
  • All levels can be beaten by the default paper plane. In fact, the slower speed is often better as you can dodge the obstacles easier and find more gems.
  • Keep in mind that you can tilt the left analog upwards to slow down the paper plane.
  • At the start of the game, focus on collecting the blue gems. Do not spend them in the shop until you collect 2000.
  • After getting 2000 blue gems, buy the golden bat from the shop. Afterwards, you can avoid the blue gems and focus on the yellow gems instead.
  • The “Wait, I’m Still Flying?” trophy can be done easily in the Frost level. Focus on getting the yellow gems to get the timer up to 99.
  • For the “To Infinity” trophy, tilt the paper plane completely upwards to go as slow as possible. You can then carefully weave past the obstacles until you cross 10,000 meters.
  • For the “Taking Flight” trophy, launch a multiplayer match and then hold the left analog downwards for three minutes. Since your plane can’t crash, the trophy should unlock. Afterwards, finish the race and you should be in last place, which will get you the “Emotional Damage” trophy.
  • To win the multiplayer race in order to get the “Main Character Energy” trophy, try using the gold bat plane you purchased earlier.

You can find my impressions of this game below:

Pros:

  • Relaxing yet addicting paper plane flying gameplay.
  • Stylish visuals and infectious soundtrack.

Cons:

  • None

Overall:

Paperly is an arcade game where you fly through various obstacles with a paper plane. It sports a fantastic presentation with stylish visuals and an infectious soundtrack.

Along with the story mode, you can also play endless and multiplayer modes. Not to mention that there are multiple paper planes you can buy as well. So, even though the story mode is short, there is plenty of replay value.

If you are looking for a unique experience, then make sure to give Paperly a try.
