Exo-Calibre on PS5 Pro: Mini-Review After Getting Platinum Trophy

I recently got a chance to play through Exo-Calibre, thanks to a review code provided by eastasiasoft.

You can find my gameplay below:

You will get most of the trophies by beating the story mode, as long as you remember to use your melee attack to deflect bullets and pick up the screws.

The Full Speed Ahead trophy, which requires you to boost through 20 enemies, can be tricky. I ended up getting this out of the way early in the very first level.

You can read my mini-review for Exo-Calibre below:

Pros:

  • Fun shoot ‘em up with some unique twists.
  • Unlimited lives in story mode.
  • Multiple playable characters.

Cons:

  • None

Overall:

Exo-Calibre is a vertical shoot ‘em up with some unique twists. While you can avoid bullets and projectors, you can also reflect them with melee and boost attacks.

This makes the game more accessible when compared to others from the same genre. Not to mention that the story mode offers unlimited lives, which means you can beat the game easily without having to worry about running out of lives and starting all over again.

While you can beat the story in less than an hour, Exo-Calibre features multiple characters, an arcade mode where the difficulty is ramped up with limited lives to boot, boss rush mode, and time rush mode.

Exo-Calibre offers a fun and unique vertical shoot ‘em up experience. Even if you beat the story, there is still plenty of replay value with the extra characters and modes to play around with.
