At the start of the fight, avoid the circles to dodge his punches. Once his glove gets stuck, use your power-up on the target.
When he sends out smaller enemies, get rid of them quickly by doing a spin attack and then using your power-up to extend your range.
You should then avoid the moving sands to dodge his uppercut. Once his gloves get stuck again, attack the target.
You then need to propel yourself to hit the octopus. Afterwards, attack the target on his side to complete this part of the fight.
When he starts to shoot out spikes, you can either dodge or attack them with your extended spin attack.
He will then try a straight punch. Make sure you use your power-up to intercept this attack before it can hit you.
Defeat the next wave of enemies while avoiding the black tar.
When he tries to punch down on you, carefully lure him into the black tar. You may have to jump and hover around the tar.
Afterwards, use his tentacles to slingshot yourself to the boss and then attack the target on his other side.
During the next phase, avoid the gray platforms until the wave passes over it. Afterwards, quickly make your way to the next section.
Quickly get rid of the enemies and then prepare to do more platforming after the next wave.
Once you get to the final section, avoid the falling spikes while staying near the north side. When the octopus lowers his head, you need to quickly attack his eye.
Do the same thing to attack his other eye.
Afterwards, pull his face all the way and then propel forward to end the fight.
