Can you recover your passcode for iPhone 13, mini, Pro and Pro Max?
Unfortunately, there is no way you can recover your lost passcode for iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max. Instead, you need to erase the passcode, which will also delete other data and settings you have stored on your phone, in order to use to continue using it.
How to restore the iPhone 13, mini, Pro and Pro Max
Restoring the phone will let you delete the current passcode as well as set up a new one. As we stated previously, this process will also delete all the data and settings you have on the internal storage of your iPhone 13. Any data or setting that haven’t been backed up either to the iCloud or another storage device, will be permanently erased.
If you are still interested in deleting your forgotten passcode and then creating a new passcode to your Phone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max, then you can take the following steps:
1. In order to delete the current passcode, you will need either a PC or Mac that you can connect your phone to over a USB cable.
2. If you are using a PC, or older Mac, then you will also need to download and install the iTunes program.
4. Plug your smartphone to your PC or Mac.
The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max comes with a USB-C to Lightning Cable. If your PC or Mac only have a USB-A port, then you will need a USB-C Female to USB-A Male Adapter.
5. Now, press and then quickly release the Volume Up button on your phone.
6. You then need to press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
7. Next, press and continue to hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode appear on the screen of your iPhone 13.
8. On the monitor of your PC or Mac, you need to select your iPhone.
On Mac with the macOS Catalina (or later), your phone should appear on the Finder sidebar.
On PC, or Mac with macOS that is older than Catalina, you need to open iTunes and then click on the phone icon on the top left corner of the window.
9. In the next menu, select the Restore option to erase the passcode, as well as other data and settings, you have stored on your phone.
10. During the Restore process, your PC or Mac will be downloading software. If the download takes longer than 15 minutes, then your iPhone 13 will automatically exit its recovery mode.
If this happens, simply let the download finish and then turn off your phone again. Next, you need to put the same phone back into recovery mode.
11. After the restoration has been completed, you will have to set up your iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max like it was brand new.
12. During the setup process, you will get to enter a new passcode. This time, make sure that you don’t forget it.
13. Later on during the setup process, you will be asked if you want to restore any backup data you have previously saved for your iPhone 13.
You can restore backup data you have on the iCloud as well as anther storage device.
