I recently got a chance to play around an hour of Cube Mandarine, thanks to a review copy provided by Tau Cubis.
You can watch my gameplay video below:
You can also read about my first impression of Tau Cubis below:
Pros:
- Simple yet fun tower defense.
- Diverse level layouts.
- Lots of content.
Cons:
- Can’t restart during the middle of a challenge.
Overall:
Tau Cubis is a tower defense game where you try to prevent robotic enemies from stealing your core.
In order to do so, you need to build defense towers in designated areas. These include those that attack with a canon or machine gun as well as others that slow down or weaken the enemy’s defenses. In addition to building, you can also upgrade existing towers.
What makes Tau Cubis unique is that, in terms of placement, the enemies must have one clear path to the core. However, you can redirect their paths by blocking any shortcuts. It is a lot of fun being able to funnel enemies into your death traps of machine gun towers.
Overall, the game offers more than 100 challenges spread across 18 maps. So, there is plenty of content to get through.
The only real issue is that you can’t restart a challenge once you start it. Instead, you have to quit the game entirely or fast forward to die lose on purpose.
Outside of that, Tau Cubis is a fun and addicting tower defense game. Make sure to check it out of you are into this genre.
