Shooty McSpaceFace: Trophy Guide

I recently got a chance to play Shooty McSpaceFace on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review code provided by Penguin Pop Games.

Trophy Guide and Road Map:

To unlock the trophies as efficiently as possible, enable Easy Mode in the main menu.

Afterwards, you need to start Story Mode. In the first stage after the tutorial, complete the stage without using your shield and special attack to unlock No-Shield Clear and No-Special Clear.

During the story mode, play until you defeat the first boss to unlock Boss Defeated. Along the way, you should be able to kill at least 40 enemies, unlocking the 10, 20, 30 and 40 Enemies Defeated trophies.

Next, you need to play and complete the first arena to unlock Arena Clear, Arena: 3 Robots Defeated, Arena: 3 Mines Defeated, and Arena: 15 Enemies Defeated.

Finally, make sure to visit the shop in the menu to buy one enhancement and one special attack to unlock Enhancement Unlocked and Special Attack Unlocked.

Pros:

  • Being able to deploy shields.
  • Upgradeable enhancements and special attacks.

Cons:

  • None.

Overall:

Shooty McSpaceFace is a retro-inspired run and gun game.

In order to defeat number enemies, you can use your regular blaster, which has a cool down to reload. You also have access to a special attack, which also has a cooldown albeit a much longer one.

What makes this game somewhat unique is that you can also deploy temporary shields to block incoming attacks. The shield has to be shot out in the direction where you are facing. If placed correctly, you are able to gain a nice advantage as your bullets will pass by your shield while it blocks the enemy’s attack.

Shooty McSpaceFace offers story mode as well as an arena mode. There is also a shop where you can buy enhancements and special attacks.

Overall, Shooty McSpaceFace is a very fun run-and-gun game with a neat shield deployment mechanic. If you are a fan of the genre, then make sure to check this game out.
