I recently got a chance to play around an hour of Save Room – The Merchant, thanks to a review copy provided by Ratalaika Games.
You can find my gameplay video below:
You can also check out my first impressions of Save Room – The Merchant below:
Pros:
- Addicting puzzle game based on Resident Evil inventory management.
- Relaxing and haunting soundtrack.
Cons:
- None.
Overall:
Save Room – The Merchant takes the inventory management from Resident Evil 4 and turns it into a puzzle game.
Your object is to fit all the items into the inventory before visiting the merchant. To do so, you have to fit all the items into your inventory by spinning, combining, and more.
Once you visit the shop, you have to sell and buy according to the level objective. Afterwards, you have to fit the newly bought items into your inventory again to complete the level.
As you progress, the stages get more complicated. For example, you will eventually have to combine treasures before selling them to maximize their value in order to afford all the items needed.
If you enjoy the inventory management of Resident Evil 4, then you should love Save Room – The Merchant.
