This Seeking Tech guide will show you how to get the Boom Town trophy and achievement in Mouse P.I. for Hire.
To do so, you need to “Kill 20 enemies in a single playthrough by throwing/kicking explosive barrels.”

This can be done easily during The Vanishing Act level. When you learn about kicking explosive barrels, use it on the two enemies in front of you. Do not move forward, or it might trigger the auto-save.
Instead, reload your game from the previous save to put you near where you were previously. Rinse and repeat until Boom Town unlocks.
