I recently got a chance to play around an hour of Lulu’s Temple, thanks to a review code provided by Ratalaika Games.
You can find my gameplay, as well as my written impression, below:
Pros:
- Interesting light and dark mechanics.
- Stylish 8-bit graphics.
Cons:
- None
Overall:
Lulu’s Temple is a 2D action platformer where you explore a dark temple filled with traps and enemies. To see in the dark, you can use your gun to temporarily light the path.
For a better solution, you can carry a torch with you. A scarab friend you meet at the beginning will also help you track down your torch when you throw it away to attract enemies or light the path ahead.
The game features a lot of puzzles that rely on light and dark elements. It also helps that the stylish 8-bit graphics look great, especially on an OLED screen.
If you are looking for an interesting take on the 2D action platforming genre, then you should give Lulu’s Temple a try.
