Getting to the Settings app on your Google Pixel 6 or Google Pixel 6 Pro can be a little bit tricky in the beginning. You can check out this step-by-step guide at Seeking Tech to see how to access the main system menu of your smartphone.
Method #1
The first method is to swipe upwards an empty space from the home screen. This should bring up a list of apps you have currently installed on your phone.
Next, simply scroll down and then tap Settings.
How to add the Settings app shortcut to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro home screen
In order to add the Settings app shortcut to the home screen of your Google Pixel 6 or Google Pixel 6 Pro, you can take the following steps:
Swipe upwards from an unoccupied space in the home screen to bring up a list of installed applications.
Tap and then hold the Settings app.
Drag the Settings icon. This will open the home screen layout.
After dragging the Settings app to your desired location in the layout, let go.
The Settings app shortcut should now appear on the home screen. If you want to change the shortcut location from the home screen, tap, hold and then drag the icon.
Once you set it up, the home screen shortcut is the fastest way to open the Settings app.
Method #2
You can also use two fingers to swipe downwards from the very top of the screen of your Google Pixel 6 or Google Pixel 6 Pro to all the way to the bottom. Doing so will bring up the full Quick Settings menu.
If you use one finger to swipe down from the top instead, you will only partially open the Quick Settings menu, which won’t show the Settings option. Therefore, you will need to swipe down again to fully open Quick Settings.
With the Quick Settings menu fully shown, you should see the gear wheel icon located at the bottom. It is in the same area as the Edit and Power options. Tap that icon to go to Settings.
Method #3
The third and final method to launching the Settings app on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is to use Google Assistant.
In order to do so, you need to do the following:
First off, you need to active Google Assistant which can be done by saying Hey Google, saying Okay Google, tapping the microphone icon on the Google Search Bar or holding the power button on your phone.
With Google Assistant activated, simply say “Settings” to open the Settings app.
