When trying to recharge your Pixel phone or other mobile devices with the second-generation Google Pixel Stand, you may notice that the battery is not recharging at all. The base of the stand may also show an orange light, which indicates that it is having trouble recharging your device.
To see how you can fix these issues with the 2nd Gen Pixel Stand, you can check out this troubleshooting guide at Seeking Tech.
1. The first step we recommend taking is to reposition your smartphone or device on the Pixel Stand.
Try to keep to center the device you are trying to recharged as much as possible on the charging stand.
2. Moreover, you can try switching from placing in an upright position to a side position or vice versa.
3. You should also make sure that there’s any objects in between your device and the wireless charging stand as they may be hindering the recharge process.
4. For best compatibility, you should be using the same USB cable and power adapter that came with the Google Pixel Stand 2.
A third-party cable and/or power adapter could cause issues with the recharging process due to the lack of compatibility.
5. You should make sure that the 2nd Gen Pixel Stand is plugged into a working power outlet.
6. You can also try using another power outlet.
7. A dirty device and/or stand may hinder the wireless charging performance. Therefore, you can try cleaning your device as well as the Pixel Stand 2.
You can take a look at this cleaning guide for the new Google wireless charger.
8. Make sure that both the device you are trying to recharge and the charging stand aren’t overheated as rising temperatures can stop the battery recharge process.
The second-generation Google Pixel Stand is designed to be operated within a range of 32° F to 95° F (which is 0° C to 35° C).
If your device or charging stand feels hot when touched, then we recommend letting both devices cool down before using both again.

9. The charging stand is vulnerable to water as it may short circuit and overheat when wet. Therefore, you should avoid using it near any liquids as well as inside a very humid environment.

10. If you are using a case with the device you are trying to recharge, then we suggest taking it off to see if it will recharge normally on the wireless charger.
The 2nd Gen Google Pixel Stand may not support the case based on its materials. Your case may also be too thick as the wireless charger works optimally with cases that are 3 mm thick or less.
