How to fix Fire TV logo stuck on screen issue with Fire TV Stick 4K Max

When trying to turn on your Amazon, the screen may be stuck showing the Fire TV logo. You can check out this troubleshooting guide at Seeking Tech to see how you can fix this startup issue with this streaming media player.

1. The first step we recommend taking is to restart the Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

In order to do so, you need to take the following steps:

  • Unplug the power adapter from the power outlet.
  • Wait for at least 3 seconds.
  • After at least 3 seconds have passed, plug the power adapter back into the power outlet.

2. If the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is still getting stuck to the Fire TV logo during bootup after restarting the device, then the next step you can take is to simply wait.

You can wait for up to 25 minutes with the streaming stick turned on to see if the screen will eventually change.

2. You should also make sure that you are using the power cord and power adapter that came with the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Otherwise, your streaming stick may not be getting enough power to properly function.

3. If you are using a HDMI adapter, hub or extender, then we recommend removing them if possible. You should then directly connect the Fire TV Stick 4K Max directly into the HDMI port of your television set or monitor.

4. If you need to use a HDMI extender, then make sure you are using the one that comes with the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

5. If you are connecting the HDMI extender to another HDMI cable, then you should also make sure that you are using a high-speed HDMI cable such as HDMI 1.4, HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.1.

6. If possible, you can also try connecting your streaming stick to a different HDMI port of your television screen or monitor.

7. You can also try using a different TV or monitor if you have another one available.

8. In order to use the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max, your TV or monitor needs to be HDCP-compliant.

You should be able to find if your display is HDCP-compliant by looking for the model number of your television or monitor from the manufacturer’s website.

9. One last option you have is to factory reset your Fire TV Stick 4K Max. This process will delete all the log-ins, settings and downloaded content. Therefore, you will need to setup your streaming stick and re-download everything again.

In order to factory reset, you need to do the following:

  • Press and hold both the Back button and the Right button on the navigation circle for 10 seconds.
  • After 10 seconds, you should see a message on the television screen regarding a factory reset. Choose Continue to perform the factory reset.
  • If you don’t choose fast enough, then the streaming stick will automatically reset. If that happens, simply repeat the same process to get back to the factory reset message.
