If you are using an app directly on the Samsung Freestyle, then you may experience issues such as a poor image quality when trying to play a video stream. You may also encounter other general problems with an application or multiple applications not working correctly.
To see how you can fix app issues related to this portable projector, you can take a look at this guide from Seeking Tech.
1. The first step we recommend taking is to make sure that you have updated the Freestyle to the latest available firmware.
To see how you can do so, you can take a look at this tutorial.
2. You should also make sure that you have a strong internet connection. Otherwise, a poor or unstable connection may lead to the app getting disconnected from the internet and/or poor streaming picture quality.
To check the Internet connection status, you can take the following steps:
- Press the home button on the remote control of the portable projector.
- From the home menu, select Menu, which should have the three horizontal lines icon.
- Next, you need to select Settings.
- Finally, you need to select Network Status. If you need to make any changes to the Internet setting, then you can select Network Settings.
- If your Wi-Fi connection is poor, then you can try moving the projector closer to the Wi-Fi router. You should also avoid any solid objects as well as other wireless devices that may weakened the Wi-Fi signal.
3. Furthermore, you should make sure that the app has been updated to the latest version.
To do so, you need to do the following:
- Press the home button on the remote.
- In the home menu, select Media, which should have the play icon.
- Next, you need to select Apps.
- In the Apps menu, select Settings, which should have the gear cog icon.
- In the App Settings menu, make sure that the Auto Update setting is step to “On” on the top right side of the screen.
4. If you are still experiencing app-related issues on the Samsung Freestyle, then you can try deleting and then re-installing the troublesome application.
In order to do so, you can try taking the following steps:
- Return to the App Settings menu by pressing the home button, selecting media, selecting Apps and then selecting Settings.
- Use the left or right directional buttons to hover over the app that you want to delete and then re-install.
- With the app highlighted, select the Delete option.
- Afterwards, you need to select Reinstall option.
5. If you are connecting another smart device on your Samsung Freestyle, then you can try using the app on the connected device to see if it will perform better than if it was running directly on the portable projector.
6. If the app is still being problematic, then you can try using the Device Care feature.
To do so, you can do the following:
- Press the home button on the remote.
- Go to Menu.
- Next, select Settings.
- Go to Support.
- Select Open e-Manual.
- In the e-Manual menu, select Device Care.
- In the Device Care menu, you can diagnose problems and get direct support from a Samsung representative.
