How to change the frame rate in Xbox Series X version of Starfield

This Seeking Tech guide will explain how you can change the frame rate in the Xbox Series X version of Starfield.

1. Make sure you downloaded the latest patch for the game if you haven’t done so already.

2. You then need to go to the main menu. If you have loaded into the game, then you have to quit your sessions to head back.

3. From there, make your way to Settings and then Display.

4. You should find the Frame Rate Target setting in the Display section. You will be able to change the frame rate to 30 or 60 FPS.

If you have a 120 Hz screen, then you can change this setting to 40 or Uncapped.

5. Another new setting is V-SYNC, which caps the frame rate in order to prevent screen tearing.

6. The last option is Prioritize. If you are playing in a higher frame rate, then you should set this setting to Performance.
