The latest patch for Starfield added new difficulty options that made the game harder. This guide at Seeking Tech will show how you can access these modes.
1. If you haven’t done so already, make sure you have the latest title update installed for Starfield.
2. In the game, you can then go to Settings > Gameplay Options.
3. You should see four difficult options on top:
- Enemy Combat Damage
- Player Combat Damage
- Enemy Ship Damage
- Player Ship Damage
All of these options now include an Extreme Difficulty mode. This will make the game harder, but will give you more experience points.
4. If you scroll down, you should also see the following difficulty options:
- Ammo Weight
- Carry Capacity
- Cargo Access Distance
- Vendor Credits
- Medical Item Healing
- Food Healing
- Sleep Healing
- Sustenance
- Combat Affliction Gain
- Affliction Treatment
By making these elements harder, you will be able to gain more experience points as well.
