I recently got a chance to play around an hour of Creepy Tale: Snow Child on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Sometimes You.
You can find my gameplay video below:
You can also check out my first impressions of Snow Child below:
Pros:
- Excellent presentation.
- Creative puzzles.
Cons:
- None.
Overall:
Creepy Tale: Snow Child is a dark fantasy adventure game where you adventure through Hell.
In order to progress, you often must solve puzzles, some of which can be quite creative. One puzzle may ask you to catch a mushroom who keeps popping up in another hole when you get close, while another may ask you to select the right symbols to correctly sharpen a knife.
The game often throw you off to loop, asking you to observe carefully and think logically in order to move on to the next section.
Creepy Tale: Snow Child also excels in presentation. The hand-drawn visuals bring out the creepy dark fantasy aesthetic while the great voice acting adds to the immersion of the world. The production value is sky high when compared to many other adventure games.
If you are into adventure games set in dark fantasy setting, then you should definitely check out Snow Child as well as the other releases from the Creepy Tale series.
