How to fix skewed and blurry picture issues with the Samsung Freestyle

The Samsung Freestyle is a portable projector. If you move around this product a lot of times, however, then you may end up getting a skewed and/or blurry picture.

To see how you can fix these problems, you can check out this troubleshooting guide at Seeking Tech.

How to fixed a skewed projected image from Samsung Freestyle

If the projected image coming from Samsung Freestyle is skewed, then we recommend that you try doing the following:

1. Move the projector left or right as well as move its inclination up or down until you get a perfect rectangular image.

2. You can also move the Freestyle backwards to increase the screen size or forward to decrease the screen size.

3. If you are still getting a skewed projection, then you can try using the Keystone function.

In order to do so, press the home button on your Samsung Smart Remote.

You then need to select the Menu option, which has the three horizontal lines.

Next, you should select the Settings option, which has the gear cog icon.

You then need to select All Settings > General & Privacy > Projector Settings > Keystone.

How to fixed a blurry projected image from Samsung Freestyle

If the projected image from the Samsung Freestyle looks blurry, then you can try doing the following:

1. First off, you can try to display a different media or switch a different input source.

If the other media or input source looks fine, then the problem may be related to the original media you are trying to project.

Keep in mind that pictures or videos that are originally displayed in standard resolution will still look blurry even when upscaled to a high-definition resolution especially if the Freestyle is displaying a larger screen size.

2. If the blurriness is only showing on one of the sources, then make sure that you have the right settings for the connected device.

3. If you are getting a blurry projected image in all scenarios, then you can try using the Focus function of the Freestyle.

To do so, press the Home button on the remote, select Menu and then select Settings.

Afterwards, go to All Settings > General & Privacy > Projector Settings > Focus.

4. You can also try changing the Picture Clarity Settings.

In order to do so, you need to first press the Home button from the remote control of the projector, select Menu and then select Settings.

You then have to select All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings.

5. If none of the aforementioned solutions work, then you might want to check if the lens of the Samsung Freestyle Portable Projector is cleaned.

If the lens appears to have some smudge, be dirty and/or be dusty, then we recommend carefully cleaning it.

If you are looking for a cleaning kit for the Freestyle, then we recommend picking up the Altura Photo Professional Cleaning Kit. You can purchase the product, if you are interested, on Amazon with the following link:
