I recently got a chance to play the PlayStation VR2 version of Detective VR on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by VRKiwi.

Pros:
- Engrossing crime story with lots of twists and turns.
- Great voice acting.

Overall:
Detective VR is a virtual reality detective game where your job is to find out what happened to a missing artist. In order to do so, you get to take pictures of evidence found in the crime scene. Some of which may not emerge until you rewind or fast forward through a particular scene.
As with other successful crime games, Detective VR features a compelling story with many suspects. The plot is further boosted with its voice cast. While the animations may not be the best, the voice acting really adds to the immersion.
After exploring a crime scene, you return to your office. You can then use a magnifying glass to look for clues on the evidence you collected. Afterwards, you have to connect the dots to see which evidence connects to which suspect.
When successful, you get a VHS tape that will show the suspect explaining the evidence you found. The gameplay loop of investigating the crime scenes and then connecting the evidence to suspects can be quite addicting once you get used to the control.
My only complaint is the lack of comprehensive tutorials. It took me awhile to figure out some actions, such as using the watch, on my own due to a proper explanation of the controls.
Overall, Detective VR is quite a fun and streamlined detective simulator done in virtual reality. If you are a fan of crime scene investigation, then make sure you check this game out.
