I recently got a chance to play Mayhem Mail, thanks to a review copy provided by Ratalaika Games.

Trophy Tips:
- On the second level, do not interact with any of the mailboxes until you collect all four letters. Once you picked up the letters, interact with the boxes to unlock the Memory Test trophy.
- On the third level, intentionally deliver the mail to a mismatched mailbox to unlock the You’Re Fired trophy.
- Losing a level will also unlock the Assist Mode in the Pause Menu. From there, enable Invincibility, Infinity Jump and Infinite Deliver.
- Finish the first three worlds to unlock the rest of the trophies.

Overall:
Mayhem Mail is a single screen platformer inspired by 8-bit classics such as Donkey Kong. With that said, it does add its own twists as you main object is to find mail in the level and then deliver it to the matching mailbox.
Mayhem Mail nails its old school feel as the visuals and soundtrack both look and sound like they were from that era. Like the old school 8-bit games, the difficulty is also quite brutal as you have to deal with traps and enemies.
What makes this game even more unforgiving is that you have to deliver mail to the correct mailbox. Otherwise, you will end up damaging yourself.
The main problem is that some of the boxes use the same shade of the same color; for example, there is a dark blue and baby blue, as well as a bright red and dark red. When dodging obstacles and enemies, you can easily forget which mail you picked up, especially if the colors are similar.
Thankfully, the game does offer some accessibility features, which are made available after you died once. By enabling Infinite Deliver, for example, a wrong delivery will no longer hurt you.
Overall, Mayhem Mail is a fun and challenging game that mixes memorization and old-school platforming. If you are a fan of classic 8-bit platformers, then make sure you try this one out.
