Cat from Hell 2: Trophy Guide and Mini Review

I recently got a chance to play through Cat from Hell 2, thanks to a review copy provided by Upscale Studio.

You can find my platinum trophy walkthrough below:

Trophy Tips:

  • Nice Try: Look for a doghouse to jump on. Once you jump on the roof of the doghouse, try to jump over the fence five times.
  • Beginning: Interact with any of the traps.
  • Santa, Is That You?: Jump on the ladder on the side of the house to get to the roof. From there, jump into the chimney.
  • Destroyer: Interact with all the plants in the garden and greenhouse with Grandma catching up to you.
  • Greenpeace: After destroying a plant in the garden, grab a seed bag nearby and then plant it in the garden.
  • Caw Caw: Crows can be found on the rooftop as well as in the garden after you knock down the scarecrow. You need to cause 100 crows in total to fly away. This can be done across multiple runs.
  • Busted: Simply let Grandma catch you three times. This will unlock the first bad ending.
  • True Evil: You need to interact with every trap in a single run.
  • Generous: Grab a turtle from the pond and then drop it near by pond to let it return to water.
  • Here We Go Again: You need to start a new game five times. Beating the game and starting over counts. This can also be farm by pressing the R1 button at anytime.
  • Really?: Press triangle any time you see a green lightbulb icon pop up. To farm for this, press R1 to restart the game, which should show you the hint icon right away. Keep restarting the game and then pressing Triangle until this trophy unlocks:
  • Be Careful: Jump towards Grandma while she is walking three times.
  • I See Everything: The game has four endings.
  • The first will unlock the aforementioned Busted, as you need to get caught three times.
  • For the second, you need to trick Grandma into catching the orange cat three times; afterwards, let then let the orange cat steal the mouse out of your hands three times.
  • To get the third ending, trick Grandma into catching the orange cat three times; afterwards, successful put the mice into the three mouse holes. Finally, let the orange cat steal the mouse out of your hands three times during the mouse-catching competition.
  • To get the fourth and best ending, trick Grandma into catching the orange cat three times. You then need to successfully put the three mice into the mouse holes and then win the mouse-catching competition.

You can find my mini review of Cat from Hell 2 below:

Pros:

  • Expanded gameplay compared to the original.
  • Fun platinum trophy.

Cons:

  • None.

Overall:

Cat from Hell 2 is a direct continuation of the first game. In fact, the role has been reversed as you now play as the black cat instead of the orange one.

Instead of inside the house, the action now takes place outside in the backyard. While the premise is still the same in that you are trying to pin your crimes on the other cat, the sequel offers so much more in terms of scope and creativity.

Trophy hunters should be happy to learn that, unlike the original, the second game comes with a platinum trophy, which is also quite fun to unlock.

If you are interested in playing as a mischievous cat in a mini-sandbox, then you should definitely check out Cat from Hell 2.
