I recently got a chance to play an hour of Weed Lord Simulator on the PlayStation 5 Pro, thanks to a review copy provided by Revolt Games.
You can check out my gameplay video below:
You can find my first impressions of Weed Lord Simulator below:
Pros:
- Ambitious compared to other shop simulators.
- Gradual sense of progression.
Cons:
- Various glitches.
Overall:
What separates Weed Lord Simulator from other similar games is ambition. Since this game takes place in a rural area, you need to drive a car. Once you earn enough money, you can upgrade to a better car, get yourself a motorcycle, and even fly an airplane.
When it comes to selling, you not only have to look out for cops, but also rivals that will attack on sight. To fight back against your rivals, you can use a baseball bat or simply run them over if you are driving.
Aside from vehicles, you can also buy more tools, purchase entire buildings, and high employees to expand your business.
In addition to building your illegal empire, you also have to worry about your health. Eating, drinking and sleeping are all required if you want to run a successful business.
The only real negatives are the glitches. There are times when my car gets stuck; thankfully, you can respawn your car at any time. The other bugs I saw during my short time with the game are a cop driving an invisible car as well as certain objects clipping into each other in the environment. The good news is that these are more immersion breaking than game breaking.
If you don’t mind the glitches, Weed Lord Simulator is a fun and ambitious crime simulation game that has a little bit of the GTA sandbox DNA.
