Feudal Bros: Tonosama #1: Trophy Guide & Mini Review

I recently got a chance to play through Feudal Bros: Tonosama #1, thanks to a review code provided by Ratalaika Games. You can find my gameplay video, which shows how you can earn the platinum trophy, below:

Trophy tips:

  • To make the game easier, you can enable cheats.
  • The two bonus levels are the only two missable trophies. Make sure you beat all the stages before visiting the blue stage on the world map. If you visit the blue stage too early, then you will be locked out from the other stages from the map. Once you beat the other stages, the bonus stage should show up.
  • For the Saudi Arabia boss, you need to attack the barrel when the boss rolls it towards you. The rest of the bosses can be brute forced by using your transformation attack.

You can find my mini-review of Feudal Bros: Tonosama #1 below:

Pros:

  • Simple yet fun arcade action.
  • Local co-op support.
  • Quirky humor.

Cons:

  • Slowdowns and stutters.

Overall:

Feudal Bros: Tonosama #1 is an arcade action game that features two characters with distinct play styles. Lord Baka is more melee focused while Prince Buffon attacks from long range.

As either one, you roam through the stages, defeating enemies along the way until you confront the boss of the stage. The game controls well with the exception of some platforming sections. There is also a lot of quirky humor that gives it a lot of personality.

Feudal Bros is a pretty easy game overall. Even if you run out of lives, you can replay the stage again. To make things even easier, you can enable cheats.

The only major issue I have with the game is the frame rate. The FPS tends to drop when there is a lot of chaos. There are also frequent second-long stutters.

If you don’t mind some of the technical issues, then Feudal Bros: Tonosama #1 is an extremely fun arcade game, especially if you play in local co-op.
