Page yield is a statistic that estimates the amount of capacity for the HP 83 cartridge in terms of how many black and white pages it is capable of printing.

According to HP’s internal testing, the maximum page yield for the HP 83X High Yield Black Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge is approximately 700 pages more than the HP 83A Black Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge.

This translates to a 46.67% yield advantage for the X version.

The tests were done using the ISO/IEC 19752 methodology.
