When trying to use the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, you may notice that the touchscreen may be inaccurate, unresponsive or simply not working at all.

1. The first step we recommend taking it to restart the Galaxy Tab A8 by doing one of the following:
- Open the notification panel by swiping down from the top of the screen and then tap the power icon to open the power menu. You then need to tap the Restart option.
- Press and hold the Side key to open the power menu. Afterwards, tap the Restart option.
- If the touchscreen is not responding at all, then you can press and hold both the Side key and Volume Down key at the same time for at least 7 seconds. This should force the tablet to restart.

3. You should also avoid using the tablet in very humid environments or when the screen is exposed to liquid.
If your Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 is wet, turn it off as soon as possible make sure that it completely air dries before turning it back on.
Do not try to dry it quickly with a heat source such as a hair blow dryer as you may risk causing the device to overheat. Instead, you can use a fan to improve the air circulation in order to speed up the drying process.

5. Avoid using gloves when touching the screen of the A8 as it may not register your gestures accurately.

7. Make sure that all your apps are updated to the latest available versions.
In order to do so, head over to the Google Play Store and then tap your profile icon and then select the “Manage apps & device” option.
After getting to the “Manage apps & device” menu, select the “Update all” option.
8. You should also update the firmware of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 by opening the Settings app.
Inside of Settings, select the “Software update” option.
In the next screen, select the “Download and install” option.
9. Make sure you keep your fingers clean when trying to use the touchscreen of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8.
Otherwise, you may get inaccurate or unresponsive touch controls. You may even end up scrathcing or damaging the tablet screen.
