1. The first step we recommend doing is to make sure that your S22 series smartphone isn’t wet. Otherwise, the touchscreen may not work as intended.

2. Using your Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ or Galaxy S22 Ultra in a very humid environment may also cause issues with its touch screen.
3. If the screen of the phone made contact with another electrical device, then it may cause an electrostatic discharge that cause the touchscreen to malfunction.
In this case, we recommend restarting your phone to see if the touchscreen is working as intended.
If you can’t use the touchscreen to restart, then you can press and hold both the Side Key and Volume Down key for 7 seconds to force a reset.
4. If you have an unstable power supply, then the touchscreens of the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra may not work when these phones are charging.
In this scenario, you can either stop charging your smartphone or recharge it with a stable power supply to make the touchscreen functional.
5. The touchscreens of the Galaxy S22 series may not recognize touch inputs at the edges of the screen. Therefore, you can try, if possible, using touch inputs and swipe gestures farther away from the edges.
6. The touchscreen may have a hard time recognizing your touches if you are wearing a glove or have a dirty hand. So, make sure you are only using clean hands when touching the screen of your phone.

10. You may want to consider increasing the touchscreen sensitivity, which you can do by taking the following steps:
- Open the Settings App of your Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
- On the first page of Settings, go to Display.
- In the Display menu, select Touch Sensitivity.
11. If you are using a screen protector, then it may be causing issues with touch inputs and gestures. Thus, you may want to consider removing it.
12. Scratches from fingernails and other sharp objects may also damage the touch screen of your Galaxy phone.
