How to fix Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra blurry picture quality issues

The Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a front camera and rare camera that you can use to take pictures.

If you are experiencing issues with the photos looking blurrier than what you may have expected, then you can take a look at this troubleshooting guide at Seeking Tech to see what you can do.

1. The first step you can take is to make sure that the camera lens on your Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus or S22 Ultra is not dirty.

If you see dirt, dust and/or smudges, then we recommend that you gently and carefully wipe the lens clean.

To see how to do so, we recommend that you take a look at our cleaning guide for the Galaxy S22 series of smartphone to find what cleaning materials you can use.

2. Even if the camera may not be dirty, it can still capture blurry photos if there is a buildup of condensation.

The fogging can build up if there is a sudden change in temperature, causing a big difference between the internal temperature of your phone and the external temperature of the ambient environment.

If the camera lens is not dirty, then you can simply wait until the condensation dries out on its own before you start taking pictures with your phone.

3. Make sure you are using the Auto Focus feature if the subject of your photos appears to be blurry.

In order to use it, tap and hold the area of the screen that you want to focus on when you are trying to take a picture. This will lock the focus and exposure settings for the photo. As a result, the camera won’t try to re-adjust its focus or exposure, which should help you get a sharper image.

4. If the subject of your photo is too close to the camera lens of your Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, then the camera may have a hard time trying to properly focus.

To fix this problem, move back a good distance from the subject and slowly move forward again for the Auto Focus feature to properly adjust. You can also try using the zoom features as well to refocus your camera.

5. You can also use the Tracking Auto-Focus feature, which will help the S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra camera stay focused on the subject of your photo even if the subject starts to move and/or you decide to change camera position.

6. If none of the aforementioned solution fix the blurry images, then there is a possibility that the camera lens of your Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ or Galaxy S22 Ultra is damaged or contaminated.

If you believe that this is the case, then you need to contact Samsung about potentially getting your phone repaired or replaced.
