In order to manually add a phone number to the block list on your Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, you need to take the following steps:

1. Open the Phone App.

2. Once you get to the Phone App, tap the icon with the three dots, which should appear on the upper right side of the screen.

3. In the small pop-up menu, you need to select Settings.

4. Inside of the Settings menu of the Phone App, select Block Numbers.

5. Next, you need to select Add Phone Number.

6. Enter the phone number that you want to block.

7. Once you are done inputting the phone number, tap the + icon.

How to block a phone number from contact or recent list on Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra

To block a phone number that appears in the contact or recent list on your S22, S22+ or S22 Ultra, you need to do the following:

1. Launch the Phone App.

2. Select the icon that has the three dots.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Tap Block Numbers.

5. Next, you can tap Contact if the number you want to block is on your contact list. Alternatively, you can also block Recent if the phone number you want to appear in the most recent list.

6. Select the contacts or phone numbers you want to block and then tap the + icon.

To automatically block unknown or private phone numbers that try to contact you on your Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ or Galaxy S22 Ultra, you need to take the following steps:

1. Open the Phone App.

2. Tap the three dots icon.

3. In the pop-up menu, tap Settings.

4. Inside of the Settings for the Phone App, tap Block Numbers.

5. In the next screen, make sure that the Block Unknown/Private Number setting is turned on.

If a blocked phone number tries to contact you on your Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, then you won’t get any audio or visual notification. The contact attempt will still appear in the call log of the Phone App, however.
