The USB-C port on the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro can be used to recharge the internal battery. When trying to recharge you may get disconnections or your phone may also not recharge at all.

1. The first step you should take is to inspect the charging cable and/or charger. You should see if there are any physical damages. Furthermore, you can also try using them to recharge a different electronic.
2. If there are nothing wrong with the cable and/or charger, then you can try recharging your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 again. This time wait for at least 1 minute.
3. If your phone does not recharge after 1 minute, then you can try resetting your phone by doing the following:
- Press the power and volume up buttons at the same time in order to bring up the power and emergency menu.
- In this menu, select the restart option.
4. If you are still experiencing charging issues, then you can also try power cycling your phone, which you can do by taking the following steps:
- Press and hold both the power and volume up buttons to open the power and emergency menu.
- In the new menu, select the Power off option.
- After your phone has shut down, press the power button to power it back on again.
5. You can also check to see if there is a new firmware update available that may help resolve these charging port problems.
To check for a new update, you can do the following:
- Swipe upwards from an open space in the Home screen. This should bring up a menu that shows the installed applications on your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro.
- In this menu, select the Settings app.
- Inside Settings, scroll down and then select System.
- In the System menu, select the System update option.
6. If you still have plenty of battery life left on your Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, then the Adaptive Charging setting may be preventing your phone from recharging any further.
To disable Adaptive Charging, you need to do the following:
- Go to the Settings App.
- In Settings, tap Battery.
- In Battery tap, the “Adaptive preferences” option.
- In the “Adaptive preferences” menu, make sure that the Adaptive Charging is disabled.
7. You may also want to use the official charger and cable from Google. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro should already come with an official USB-C cable.
