Is the Vizio V-Series 2020 a suitable TV for the PS5, Xbox Series X and other consoles?

In 2020, Vizio updated its low budget V-Series. So, how does the new television set fare at playing video games on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X as well as other home consoles?

You can find out in this Seeking Tech guide.

Quick Summary

The Vizio V-Series 2020 is a poor gaming TV for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X due to the lack of HDMI 2.1 ports in addition to missing wide color gamut.

Not to mention that this television set has bad HDR brightness levels.

The TV does have very low input lag when game mode is enabled, however. So, it is a great budget friendly television set to play non-HDR games on older HDMI consoles like the PS4, Switch and Xbox One.

For even older systems, the TV does include antenna and composite inputs.

Is the Vizio V-Series 2020 good for PS5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X?

The Vizio V-Series 2020 is not a good television set for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X due to the lack of HDMI 2.1 ports, missing wide color gamut support and dimmed HDR brightness levels.

Is the Vizio V-Series 2020 good for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One?

With that said, the television set is a great low budget television set for older HDMI consoles like the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360 and Xbox One thanks to the aforementioned low input lag.

If you want to play HDR-enabled games on the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S and or Xbox One X, then you should look elsewhere.
