Fingerprint Security Option

The T7 is the only one of the two products to come with an optional fingerprint sensor.

The T7 Touch, which is more expensive than the regular version, will let you use your fingerprint to unlock the data stored on the solid state drive.

USB Interface Speed

When it comes to the interface, the Samsung T7 Portable uses USB 3.1 Gen 2 while the SanDisk Extreme Portable V1 uses USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Despite the different names, both of the solid state drives should provide up to 10 Gbit/s of transfer speed.
