The Samsung 870 QVO is slightly faster than the Samsung 860 QVO when it comes to maximum sequential read speed, maximum sequential write speed and maximum random read speed. With that said, the Samsung 860 QVO is a little faster in terms of maximum random write speed. The only other major difference is that the 870 has a 8 TB capacity option while the 860 does not.

The Samsung 860 QVO is available in three capacity options while the Samsung 870 QVO is available in four options, including a new size at 8 TB that is not available in the previous generation.
