There are five variants of the Razer Basilisk gaming mouse available. So, what are the main differences between the V1, V2, Essential, X HyperSpeed and Ultimate?
You can find out in this comparison guide.
Quick Summary
The Ultimate version of the Razer Basilisk has the most features out of this group as it offers both a wired and wireless connection in addition to having Razer Chroma RGB lighting zones and being compatible with the Razer Mouse Dock Chroma.
The Basilisk Ultimate is also tied with the V2 with having the highest maximum sensitivity, highest maximum speed, highest maximum acceleration, most programmable buttons, longest lasting switches and most on-board memory profiles.
If you don’t care about using a wireless connection and/or the charging dock, then you might want to pick up the Razer Basilisk V2 instead as it matches the Ultimate version in the aforementioned performance metrics.
When it comes to the other three, the Basilisk Essential is the most affordable option although it is missing some features and has worst performance metrics than the other versions. The Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed is the only mouse of this group to support Bluetooth. Last but not least, the Razer Basilisk V1 does not perform as well as the aforementioned Razer Basilisk V2.
