Netgear Orbi Tri-Band Mesh Routers: RBR20 vs. LBR20

Netgear recently released the Orbi LBR20. So how does the new model compare to the similar Orbi RBR20? You can find out in this comparison guide between the two tri-band routers.

Quick Summary

The main difference between the Netgear Orbi RBR20 and Netgear Orbi LBR20 is that the LBR20 can also support 4G LTE. If you decide to take advantage of both Wi-Fi and 4G connections, you most likely don’t worry about losing connection to the internet if your internet service provider (ISP) goes down as you can switch to 4G.

The Orbi LBR20 also comes with NETGEAR Armor, which provides advanced protection against cyber threats to your PC, Mac and mobile devices.

Otherwise, the two routers have identical features, including warranty coverage and Wi-Fi speeds.

If you are planning to only use Wi-Fi, then we recommend getting the Orbi RBR20 as it is the most affordable. If you are planning to use Wi-Fi and 4G, then the Orbi LBR20 is the best option out of this group.
