Is the Samsung Q70T a good TV for PS5, Xbox Series X and other gaming systems?

The Q70T is one of the new Samsung television sets released in 2020. So is the new TV good enough for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X as well as other videogame consoles? You can find out in this buyer’s guide.

Quick Summary

The Samsung Q70T is a decent television set for the PS5 and Xbox Series X as it comes with one HDMI 2.1 port. The TV also has extremely low input lag in game mode as well as with the variable refresh rate activated. The only issue with the Q70T is the below average peak brightness levels for HDR.

The low latency also makes the TV an excellent choice for older HDMI consoles such as the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In terms of older gaming systems, the Q70T does not include a composite input, so you will have to use an adapter/converter for consoles that use a composite connection. The TV does come with a cable/antenna tuner, so you will be able to directly connect with any console that uses the tuner.
