Does the LG C2 have any HDMI 2.1 ports?

All four of the HDMI ports on the backside of the C2 are HDMI 2.1.

For the uninformed, the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and Xbox Series X will work with HDMI 2.1 right out of the box as a HDMI 2.1 cable is included in the boxes of these consoles.

Although the Xbox Series S also supports HDMI 2.1, you will need to find your own HDMI 2.1 cable as the console only includes a HDMI 2.0 cable.

Keep in mind that the HDMI 2.1 ports of this television set are also compatible with older consoles that support older HDMI versions.

Legacy Consoles Support

When it comes to non-HDMI systems, the LG C2 has an Antenna/Cable input that you can use to directly connect the NES, Super NES, Sega Genesis and other consoles that uses a coaxial cable.

This TV series does not come with support for composite or component, however. Therefore, you need to get an adapter in order to connect systems like the PS1, PS2, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast and Xbox.

HDR Features

The C2 television series support HDR10, which is the main format used by the PS4, PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

The TV also supports Dolby Vision, which is currently limited a small number of games on the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X consoles.

HDR Brightness in Game Mode

According to tests done by the RTINGS.com website, the LG C2 is able to output 801 nits when playing games with HDR enabled. That is well above or recommended HDR brightness level if you want a passable high dynamic range image quality.

Since the C2 is equipped with an OLED panel that provides true black colors, you should be able to get an excellent HDR display.

Native Refresh Rate

The C2 features a 120 Hz panel, which means that you are able to play games at a maximum of 120 frames per second with PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.

For older consoles, the maximum frame rate should be 60.

Adaptive Sync Support

The LG C2 OLED is compatible with the full array of adaptive sync modes, which includes Variable Refresh Rate on consoles. VRR is used by the PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S to remove stutters and screen tears in games that aren’t able to run at a stable frame rate.

The C2 also supports FreeSync and GSYNC if you have a capable graphics card.

Input Lag

The C2 is excellent when it comes to latency reduction. According to tests conducted by RTINGS, the input lag is no more than 13.3 milliseconds when you used the game mode settings of the television set.

Is the LG C2 a good TV for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S?

The LG C2 is a great television set for the newer PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles as it features an OLED display, high HDR brightness output in addition to extremely low input lag.

Not to mention that this TV also supports HDMI 2.1, 120 frames per second in addition to Variable Refresh Rate.

Is the LG C2 a good TV for Switch, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X?

The same input lag reduction advantages of the C2 also applied to older HDMI consoles like the PS3, PS4, Wii U, Switch, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

This television should also do great for HDR games running on the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S and Xbox One X.
