Does the LG B2 have any HDMI 2.1 ports?
The LG B2 comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports that offer 48 Gbps of bandwidth. You can find them at HDMI Port #3 and HDMI Port #4.
The first two HDMI ports of this television set are limited to HDMI 2.0, which has a lower bandwidth. As a result, you will get less graphical options as compared to HDMI 2.1 when it comes to the newer PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
Legacy Consoles Support
As for retro consoles, the B2 doesn’t come with any composite or component inputs. Therefore, a HDMI converter is needed if you want to hook up your PS1, PS2, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Nintendo Wii, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast and/or Xbox to this LG OLED.

According to tests done by RTINGS.com, the HDR brightness of the LG B2 is passable.
The television set can reach 627 nits when playing an HDR-enabled game, which is above are recommended minimum brightness level of 500 nits if you want a passable HDR experience.
In brighter rooms, however, you may have a harder time noticing the HDR highlights.
Native Refresh Rate
The native refresh rate of the B2 series is 120 Hz, which means that it is able to display video games at a maximum of 120 frames per second.
The PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S systems are all capable of displaying games at 120 fps.
Adaptive Sync Support

According to tests from RTINGS.com, the input lag of the LG B2 is quite low when you are using the television set’s game mode setting.
At most, the lag is only 11.6 ms when you are playing games at 60 Hz. With Variable Refresh Rate enabled, the maximum latency is only 7.3 ms. You will get the best results at 120 Hz as the lag will drop even more to just 6.1 ms at the highest.
For a responsive gaming experience, a screen should aim to have less than 30 ms of input lag. As you can see above, the B2 easily excels in this area.
Is the LG B2 good for PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S?
The LG B2 is a great television set for the newer PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S as it supports the following:
- HDMI 2.1
- Dolby Vision
- 120 fps
- Variable Refresh Rate
- Low Frame Rate Compensation
In terms of performance, the HDR brightness level is passable while the input lag reduction is excellent.
Is the LG B2 good for Switch, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X?
The low input lag of the B2 series also makes it an excellent choice for older HDMI consoles like the PS3, PS4, Wii U, Switch, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
You should also be able to get a passable HDR experience, in terms of brightness, on the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S and Xbox One X systems.
