Switch Type

The new V2 model is the first analog optical gaming keyboard from Razer. This will allow you to customize how much pressure you can press down on a key for it to register as an input.

You can also set two different actions depending on how hard you press a single key. For instance, you can press and hold the Up key lightly to walk or press and hold the UP key all the way down to run.

Actuation Distance

Actuation distance measure how far down you need to press a key to register an input.

Because the new V2 model is analog, you have a range with a minimum of 1.5 mm to all the way down to 3.6 mm.

The Tournament Edition and Razer Linear Optical Switch version of the Elite have the shortest actuation distance while the Razer Linear Optical Switch version of the Mini is the second shortest.
