When compared to the Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I Card, the Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II Card offers much faster sequential read speeds in addition to a slightly faster writing speed. On the other hand, the UHS-I version comes with more capacity options, including sizes that are bigger than the maximum capacity available for the UHS-II version (which tops out at 128 GB).
If you want the best performance possible, then we recommend getting the Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II Card if you have a device with a memory card slot that supports UHS-II. Both memory card types are compatible with devices that have the following slots:
- microSDHC UHS-I
- microSDXC UHS-I

Keep in mind that, if you use a UHS-I card with a device that have a UHS-II memory card slot, then you will be limited to the speeds of the UHS-I specifications. If you use a UHS-II card with a device that have a UHS-I slot, you will be also limited to the UHS-I speeds.
So, in order to take advantage of the increased speeds of the UHS-II, you need to use a UHS-II card with a device that has a UHS-II slot.
The SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I and SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II are both Class 10 memory cards, which mean that both have been rated to have writing speeds of at least 10 MB per second.
UHS Speed Class
The two cards also got a U3 rating as both are capable of having minimum write speeds of at least 30 MB per second.
Application Performance Class
The 32 GB version of the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I Card has an Application Performance Class of A1, which means that it is a minimum sustained writing speed of 10 MB per second, minimum random write speed of 500 IOPS and minimum random read speed 1,500 IOPS.
The 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, 400 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB versions of the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I got an A2 rating. This means that test flash cards have a sustained write speed of at least 10 MB per second, minimum random write speed of at least 2,000 IOPS and minimum random read speed of at least 4,000 IOPS.
Sequential Read Performance
When it comes to maximum sequential read speeds, the UHS-II version of the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC is 62 percent faster than the UHS-I version of the Extreme PRO microSDXC. You can find the sequential read speed specifications below:

Sequential Write Performance
