FUJIFILM has two new cameras available with the GFX 50S II and X-T30 II. You can check out this guide to see what are the best SD card options for both products.

FUJIFILM GFX 50S II SD Card Requirements

The FUJIFILM GFX 50S II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera supports the following capacities:

  • 1 GB to 2 GB SD memory card
  • 4 GB to 32 GB SDHC memory card
  • 64 GB to 2 TB SDXC memory card

When it comes to interface, the GFX 50S II is compatible with both UHS-I and UHS-II cards. For the best speeds, however, we recommend using UHS-II cards.

Last but not least, a card with a minimum 10 MB per second sequential write speed is required if you want to record 1080p videos.

Compatible UHS-II SD cards for GFX 50S II

The following UHS-II SD cards have been tested to be fully compatible with the FUJIFILM GFX 50S II:

  • 16 GB TOSHIBA EXCERIA PRO SD Card (SDXU-B016G)
  • 32 GB TOSHIBA EXCERIA PRO SD Card (SDXU-B032G)

  • 32 GB SONY SF-G SD Card (SF-G32)
  • 64 GB SONY SF-G SD Card (SF-G64)
  • 128 GB SONY SF-G SD Card (SF-G128)

Best UHS-II SD card for GFX 50S II

Out of the aforementioned compatible UHS-II SD cards, the best option for the FUJIFILM GFX 50S II Medium Format Mirrorless Camera is the SONY SF-G SD Card.

This memory card has a maximum sequential reading speed of up to 300 MB per second.

When it comes to sequential writing, the SF-G has a UHS Speed Class of U3 in addition to a Video Speed Class of V90. Therefore, it easily passes the 10 MB per second sequential write speed requirement for capturing 1080p videos with the GFX 50S II.

The SF-G has a maximum sequential reading speed of up to 299 MB per second.

FUJIFILM X-T30 II SD Card Requirements

The FUJIFILM X-T30 II Mirrorless Digital Camera is compatible with the following accessories:

  • 1 GB to 2 GB SD memory card

For the interface, the X-T30 II supports UHS-I.

Although you can also use UHS-II cards with this camera, the speed will be bottlenecked to the UHS-I specifications. So, you will most like end up with having very similar speeds between UHS-I cards and the more expensive UHS-II cards.

When it comes to video capture, a speed class of 10 or better is required for 1080p and a UHS speed class of U3 is required for 4K.

Last but not least, FUJIFILM recommends using the SanDisk brand.

Best UHS-I SD card for GFX 50S II

Based on the aforementioned requirements, we recommend picking up the SanDisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Card as it features a maximum sequential reading speed of up to 170 MB per second.

The Extreme PRO also has a speed class rating of 10 for 1080p videos in addition to a UHS speed class of U3 for 4K. The maximum sequential writing speed is up to 90 MB per second.
